Full Moon Surprise #27

A dreamy nod to Satie’s classic here on days between shows while on tour in Berlin, where it is unseasonably warm.

I took this photo of a lone astronaut watching a portable TV set in Görlitzer Park, Berlin, back in 2012. Having been forced to leave my home in the UK at the time due to my permit expiring and changes in immigration policy, and not sure what was next, I fled to Berlin. I found it comforting to come across this scene. It seemed to sum up pretty much what I felt like at the time. Perhaps I'd landed in the right place for lost astronauts.

about

Thomas Truax London, UK

"Thomas Truax crafts rich, poetically evocative songs about insects, trees, technology, and a lifelong obsession with all things lunar. He travels the world performing with his "band" of bizarre self-made instruments including a motorized drum machine made with bike wheels and a souped-up Gramophone called 'The Hornicator', as well as his venerable guitar 'Hank'.
